Handy Text App - Handy Text for iPad & Reviews

There are many text editors and note taking applications for the iPad, but there always seems to be something missing. Why can't I number headings? Or lists? What about sorting lists? Why can't I paste my text into different cells in Numbers? How about a word count? Why can't I search and replace?

I'm going to have to email the file to my desktop to get that done.

Handy Text lets you do all these things and more on your iPad. Simply copy the text in your note taking app or text editor into the clipboard, and paste it into Handy Text's Home screen. Number lists, replace text etc and then copy the text and paste it back into the original app. You can also send the text to other apps as a CSV file.

From the home screen:
* Paste the text into the text window
* Store it in back-up memory
* Add it to text that's already there with a single tap
* Send it to other applications as a CSV file

Anything that is in the Home screen can be manipulated by the Tools screen.
* Search and replace text
* Sort lines in either asending or descending order
* Remove duplicate lines
* Label and/or number lines
* Number markdown headings
* Split text up into lines around target characters (eg. commas)
* Join lines of text together into records
* Copy columns of text
* Put a tab character into the clipboard
* Put the current date into the clipboard
* Copy standard text from 3 text memories

 Finally, look at the Analysis screen to find out about the text in the Home screen.
Here you can:
* See the number of lines
* See the number of words*
* See the vocabulary size
* See words listed by frequency or length
