Pablo Picasso known as Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born on 25th October, 1881 and died on 8th April, 1973. He was a Spanish painter, draughtsman and sculptor who lived most of his life in France. Before he struck upon Cubism, Picasso went through a prodigious number of styles - realism, caricature, the Blue Period and the Rose Period.

He is widely known for co-founding the Cubist movement and his wide variety of style which he had developed over a period of time. Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubist Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907) and Guernica (1937), a portrayal of the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil war.
