Science News Prime is the tablet–format alter ego of Science News. Founded in 1922, Science News is a leading biweekly print news magazine covering new research findings from across the spectrum of scientific disciplines.

SN Prime is published weekly (47 times a year) by the non-profit Society for Science & the Public. Each issue delivers the top science news as reported by the Science News staff: a team of experienced science journalists, each specializing in the area he or she covers. Among the news categories are Atom & Cosmos, Earth, Environment, Life, Humans, Brain & Mind, Health & Illness, Genes & Cells, Matter & Energy and Molecules.

Every issue of SN Prime features select content not available elsewhere, including rotating columns on math, science and popular culture, and earth and atmospheric science, among other topics. A “People” department keeps up with the latest news from the personal side of the scientific enterprise.
