Star Walk for iPad is an award winning application of Apple Design Awards 2010 for its powerful technical excellence, superior technology, innovation and outstanding design! Star Walk is an app which is used for making your own planetarium that gives you replies for all those curiosities of your mind about the Sky! It is very helpful for those who are having interest in stargazing, laypersons and professionals. With the help of Star Walk application, you can discover information for more than 9000 stars, messiers, constellations, planets and many more.

Star Walk features ‘digital compass' for tilting the iPad with which a ‘Star Spotter' function will be activated and it gives you live representation of what you see in the sky with the help of different iPad movements like right, left, up and down. There is a ‘time machine' feature included in the app, where with a tap on the clock icon provides watching of sky say two years from now. You can eventually travel through time and can even observe night sky. The ‘sky live window' in the applications provides moon-shaped buttons to see different phases of moon, elevation and rising Sun, Venus, Mercury and manty other planets.

The Star Walk for iPad - interactive astronomy guide application includes ‘picture of the day' feature where you need to tap the right hand corner menu button and then select "Picture of the Day" button to get the list of pictures. There is a ‘bookmarks' button to save all your require information's. You can also find ‘view from the earth' you can automatically and manually select different locations on 3D globe. In the applications there is a feature of ‘Wikipedia links' to get open up information. Your can easily set the preferences as you like such as night mode, select brightness, put sounds, switch on or off the constellations and much more. There is a ‘help guide' included in the app that provides basic instruction on using the app. The FAQ section in application comprises of some common questions and answers from other users of the app.

2) You can now turn on Picture caching in the Star Walk Settings. When caching is ON it will download the content only once and store it on your device. However when caching is OFF it will save you some space on your device.
