The Met’s 2012-13 season opens September 24 with Bartlett Sher’s new production of Donizetti’s "L’Elisir d’Amore" starring Anna Netrebko, Matthew Polenzani, and Mariusz Kwiecien. The lineup features six more new productions, including the Met premieres of Thomas Adès’s "The Tempest" and Donizetti’s "Maria Stuarda." The Met’s groundbreaking new production of Wagner’s epic Ring cycle will also return for three complete cycles in spring 2013.
