There was not a trace of jest on Akainu's rugged, chiseled face. He even raised his right hand. A glob of dark red magma churned and bubbled in his palm. A wave of intense heat washed outward, yet he controlled it so precisely that it remained entirely within three inches of his hand. Not a single bead of condensation on the edge of the bar was evaporated.
This level of micro-control would drop the jaws of countless pirates in the New World.
Looking at the magma, Blake's mouth twitched involuntarily.
Kaido laughed outright, making no effort to hide his disdain. "Sakazuki, not even a dog would eat meat roasted by your magma!"
Akainu didn't even bat an eyelid. "It's still better than a stupid ox like you, who only knows how to bark."
Infuriated, Kaido slammed his massive hand down on the bar. "You wanna fight right here?!"
Blake lightly knocked on the table. The crisp sound cracked like thunder in their ears. Kaido and Akainu instantly shut their mouths. They hadn't forgotten the tavern's absolute rule forbidding combat. Anyone who dared to fight here would meet an end worse than death.
Leaning back in his rocking chair, Blake swept his gaze over the three of them. A Yonko. A Warlord of the Sea. A Marine Admiral. Outside, this lineup would be enough to pierce the heavens. Yet here they stood, waiting for instructions like elementary school students expecting candy from their teacher. Just tossing these three together would definitely yield plenty of entertainment.
Blake waved his hand grandly. "Alright, enough arguing. Since you're all so eager to see the world, tag along."
Doflamingo beamed with joy. Kaido puffed out his chest, fully embracing his role as the top henchman. Akainu silently retracted his magma and stepped aside.
Blake stood up and tapped the virtual panel hovering in midair. "Doflamingo paid. Kaido counts as an employee benefit. Sakazuki, the ticket price for this trip goes on the Marines' tab. I'll have Sengoku settle it later."
Akainu nodded, showing no objection.
Blake's fingers glided rapidly across the panel, finally stopping on a dungeon icon radiating a dark purple glow.
[Dragon Ball Z: Namek Campaign.]
[Dungeon Level: High-Tier (Extreme Danger).]
Looking at the label, Blake smiled. The power system of the pirate world could hold its own in Naruto, but tossing it into the Frieza Arc of Dragon Ball Z? That was a dimensional beatdown. He was looking forward to seeing the expressions on these three arrogant figures when they faced the true Emperor of the Universe.
"Ready?" Blake didn't give them time to answer. He hit the confirm button.
A blinding white light beamed down from above, completely enveloping the four of them. An intense feeling of weightlessness washed over them. Doflamingo instinctively tried to use his String-String Fruit to stabilize himself, only to realize he couldn't sense a single cloud. The surrounding space twisted like a giant kaleidoscope as countless flashes of light flew past in reverse.
When their feet finally touched solid ground again, the scenery before their eyes had completely transformed. There was no azure sea. There were no familiar islands. The sky above was a bizarre, deep green, and the soil beneath their feet was a dark yellow. The surrounding area was covered in blue, grass-like vegetation. A few oddly shaped, giant mushroom-like trees stood isolated in the distance.
An indescribable, suffocating pressure permeated the air.
Kaido sniffed. "Why is the air here so thin?" His monstrous physique remained unaffected, but he still felt slightly stifled.
Pushing up his sunglasses, Doflamingo scanned his surroundings, projecting his Observation Haki without reservation. "Fufufufu, what a strange place. I can't even sense the presence of a single living person."
Akainu furrowed his brow tightly. He bent down, grabbed a handful of the blue grass, and crushed it in his hand. "This isn't any island we know."
Blake walked at the forefront. He stretched lazily, acclimating to the unique gravity of this planet. "Welcome to Namek."
The three peak figures of the pirate world stood behind him, expressions solemn.
Kaido heavily planted his kanabo, Hassaikai, into the ground, cratering the earth. He cracked his neck, glancing respectfully at Blake's back. "The Shop Owner's world is truly vast. The gravity here is perfect for honing the new power the Shop Owner bestowed upon me."
Donquixote Doflamingo adjusted his red sunglasses. His signature arrogant smile had long vanished, replaced by an intensely focused caution. The feedback from his Observation Haki set alarm bells ringing in his mind. "Shop Owner," his tone was respectful, even carrying a hint of inquiry, "you must have a profound reason for bringing us here. What should we be mindful of?"
Akainu remained silent, but his slightly lowered head and the gaze fixed on Blake from beneath the brim of his cap conveyed absolute subordination.
Blake turned around. Looking at these three men who could summon wind and rain in the pirate world but now waited for instructions like students, a playful smirk tugged at his lips. "Just try not to die too ugly and embarrass me."
Kaido puffed his chest out and promised loudly, "Rest assured, Shop Owner! Even if I die, I absolutely will not tarnish your prestigious name!"
Doflamingo chimed in, "Fufufufu. Serving the Shop Owner is my honor. Even if the opponent is a god, I will drag him down."
Akainu gave a cold snort of agreement. His right arm morphed into boiling magma, the dripping droplets sizzling as they burned away the blue grass of Namek. "Any evil that obstructs the Shop Owner's plans will be completely melted by my Absolute Justice."
Blake shook his head helplessly. These guys were as good at overthinking things as ever. He tapped the empty air a few times, and three peculiarly shaped monocles materialized out of thin air, landing in their hands. "Put these on."
This time, Kaido didn't show any disdain. He picked up the small scouter with care. "Is this a treasure bestowed by the Shop Owner?"
"It's called a Scouter," Blake replied evenly. "In this world, strength is measured in concrete numbers. Put it on, and you'll be able to see your opponent's battle power."
Doflamingo was the first to slip the scouter over his left eye. He pressed the button on the side. A string of red numbers immediately began flashing across the lens. He turned to look at Kaido. The numbers settled at 18,000. He turned to Akainu. The number read 17,600.
A shiver ran down Doflamingo's spine, his reverence for Blake's methods deepening. "Fufufufu. What a miraculous creation."
Kaido snatched the scouter straight from Doflamingo. Imitating him, he put it on and looked at Blake.
The scouter let out rapid beep-beep-beep sounds. The numbers skyrocketed wildly.
One hundred thousand.
One million.
Ten million.
Bang!
The scouter exploded violently, sending glass shards flying into Kaido's face.
Kaido paid no mind to the bloody scratches on his face. He looked at Blake with nothing but fanatical worship in his eyes.
Unmeasurable power. This is a true god.
Blake clapped his hands. "Alright, that's enough idle chatter. Now, let me explain the rules of this dungeon."
