Chapter 1819 - 831: The Grand Ascension (Part 2)
"Such a pity."
Not far away, Beakleus’s skull sighed softly.
"The great Giant Clan has gathered all remaining powers, yet only one complete Root Origin remains. The once Red War God Beakleus had entered the Fourth Stage of being an Eternal, just half a step away from shedding the title of quasi-god and stepping into the domain of gods."
Rod turned his head to look, that skull had become dim and gray, with an aura of decay and antiquity emanating from its bones, and the Spiritual Light had already extinguished.
"Lord Omir."
Rod asked eagerly, "How are you now?"
The skull smiled and said, "I have exhausted all my power, and the Source Ancestor’s skull is the same; it has turned into an ordinary bone... Luckily, my corrupted soul isn’t counted in, as that’s not actually part of my power. The Black Fog had long corrupted it, and reshaped its power under the guise of its Soul Body, but is restricted by sealing, unable to freely act..."
"This is, in fact, a good thing. It can still be used by you. You have once again harvested the Black Fog and injured the darkness."
He paused for a moment and continued.
"Now, I am left with only a trace of residual will circling the skull. This is part of the Pure Star Source, combined with my Residual Spirit over countless years. It has been spiritualized."
"But that’s all there is, I have no power, and everything left in my memory you already know. My existence is like a candle flickering in the wind; though temporarily stable in the Dream Realm, it holds no value."
Rod was slightly disappointed but didn’t mind much.
Omir had sacrificed everything he had; otherwise, such powerful stars couldn’t exist.
"Indeed, that is a good thing. Please witness my victory from within the Dream Realm."
At this moment, the Book of Knowledge suddenly spoke, "Master, perhaps this skull still holds some use. Placing it on the Eternal Square might create an opportunity to condense a new special statue. Additionally, don’t forget you’ve just acquired the Guardian Spirit; it can summon Omir’s Guardian Spirit during battle to fight alongside us and repel the Black Fog’s invasion..."
It paused for a moment, then continued.
"Though the power of the Guardian Spirit is provided by the Dream Realm, a strong being’s will carries great value, having been battle-tested."
Rod suddenly realized and smiled, "Lord Omir, it appears you still cannot rest."
The skull moved slightly, producing a sound with the striking of bones, "It is indeed a great honor, mighty Lord of Destruction and Darkness."
Rod gently cradled the skull and placed it on the Eternal Square, beside Horus’s ashes.
The skull lay quietly on the Eternal Square, gazing at the sky.
Then Rod turned around, coming beside the Book of Knowledge, solemnly saying, "Book, counting all the stars, I now possess over 31 Root Origins. Does this mean I can condense the Root Origin and attempt to touch the Primordial Law?"
Should he acquire one Primordial Law, he would formally step into the ranks of Primordial beings, able to breach level 17, possessing 18-level Spiritual Energy.
The Book of Knowledge contemplated, "Master, my memory holds no information concerning the Primordial Stars; I’m unaware of how to achieve the Primordial within the Dream Realm. There are two possibilities: those memories have been entirely erased or are within the Soul Fragments I have yet to acquire."
The Book of the Future eagerly proposed, "Master, Master, I have a suggestion. You can inquire Lord Rhein on how the Fire Path accomplished the ascent of the Root Origin, recast the Primordial Law, and achieved the Primordial; this might serve as reference for us."
Rod nodded, the Book of the Future spoke sensibly, apparently the Destiny Energy had enhanced its wisdom.
"Asa, can you now devour the Destiny Energy?"
The Book of the Future nodded excitedly, its pages flipping eagerly like a dog awaiting a treat.
Rod turned to look at the Obelisk. The Residual Souls of the Giant Graveyard brought a substantial amount of Destiny Energy to him. Before merging into the stars, it separated the Destiny Energy from the Soul Body.
Currently, the Obelisk contains 102 pieces of Destiny Energy, enough for the Book of the Future to consume for quite some time.
"Come."
Rod extracted the Destiny Energy, feeding it piece by piece to the Book of the Future, quickly reaching 16 pieces, more than the last time.
"Hahaha, Master, I’ve eaten my fill again!"
The Book of the Future gleefully leapt onto the bookshelf, its soul glowing with the Golden Tree, nearly occupying a third of its Spiritual Body.
"Once I awaken again, I shall further grasp the Destiny Energy!"
Rod smiled faintly and arrived at the Soul Altar, extracting Dream Fragments from Omir’s remnant soul.
The long-awaited moment had finally come; this was one of his main objectives for this journey, the restoration of the Dream being more significant than his own advancement.
"The Sun Tower’s Fragment!"
Upon seeing the pattern formed by the Dream Fragment, the Book of Knowledge shouted thunderously, nearly crashing into Rod’s arms, clutching his hand to look.
"It truly is the Sun Tower’s Fragment! Wonderful! This is just wonderful! The Sun Tower only broke into three pieces, and we’ve collected two; this is the final piece, Master, the Sun Tower is restored entirely! The Dream Realm has regained its main weapon! We’re on the verge of restoration!"
